  • SCHEDULING ASSISTANT (TUCSON, AZ) -

    Senator Mark Kelly seeks a professional to serve as Scheduling Assistant in his Tucson, Arizona office. This position reports to the Deputy Scheduling Director. The individual will assist the scheduling team with tracking and managing incoming requests and assemble the Senator’s briefing materials while in state. The Scheduling Assistant will also coordinate logistics and manage state work period days. Additional responsibilities include driving the Senator – sometimes on evenings and weekends; the ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license and impeccable driving record. Qualified applicants must be highly organized, detail oriented, skilled in problem solving, adaptable to a rapidly changing schedule, and able to prioritize and follow through on concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.   • The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) seeks an experienced and self-motivated Communications Director immediately to help manage the CPC's press and communications operations. Candidates must possess strong writing and organizational skills, rapid response expertise, project and team management experience, knowledge of digital and social media, and a good sense of humor and creativity. The Communications Director must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines and work collaboratively with CPC offices, staff, Hill colleagues, and movement partners.

    Ideal candidates should have 5+ years of strategic communications experience including social media, media relations expertise with a history of working with both print and broadcast media as a spokesperson and on-the-record source, and an understanding of how to convey a political message to target audiences through various channels. Familiarity with the progressive movement and progressive policy is a must. Previous Capitol Hill or campaign and coalition management experience is strongly preferred. Experience with graphic design, video production, and the Adobe Suite is a plus. This is NOT an entry level position.
