PRESIDENT

Maura Weaver currently serves as a Senior Legislative Assistant in the Office of Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury, who represents New Mexico's 1st Congressional district. In this role, Maura handles a policy portfolio including Foreign Affairs, Labor, Government Oversight, and various other issues. Maura also worked in the Office of Congressman Andy Kim and the Office of Congressman Donald Norcross. Prior to the Hill, Maura worked on various state, local and national campaigns.

Maura received her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Arcadia University, and her Master’s degree in Public Policy from Temple University.

Having grown up on the beaches of New Jersey, she's a lover of all things outdoors - especially hiking and kayaking. In her free time, you can find her covered in clay at the ceramics studio, tending to her houseplant jungle, or reading a book next to her two cats, Beau and Mona.

VICE PRESIDENT

Monika Konrad is currently Senior Policy Advisor for Congressman Mark E. Amodei, who represents Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District. Her portfolio includes Defense, Financial Services, Transportation, Commerce and Trade, Judiciary, Science/NASA, Telecommunication, Foreign Affairs, and Veterans’ Affairs. Prior to her time on the hill, she worked on various congressional campaigns and in the non-profit world.

Monika received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Michigan in 2019. She is currently pursuing her Masters in International Security from George Mason University.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, being involved in her church community, checking out the DC farmers markets, thrifting, and spending time with friends and family.

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Mairead Glowacki currently serves as Communication Director for Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-10). She has been with the office since starting there as Staff Assistant/Legislative Correspondent in 2019. Prior to this, she interned for Congressman Andy Kim and Senator Cory Booker, and worked as a field organizer in Beto O’Rourke’s senate race.

Mairead graduated from Boston College where she studied Political Science.

Outside of work, she enjoys live music, running the National Mall, spending time with friends and family, and going to the beach.

DEPUTY COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Mary Kathryn Daigle serves as Press Assistant for Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17). She can be found drafting social media copy at her desk during session weeks or capturing the sights and stories of Western PA during District Work Periods. She previously served as a Staff Assistant with the House Committee on Administration, and interned for Senator Bob Casey, Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon and Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto.

Mary Kathryn graduated from Wheaton College (IL) in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science.

Outside of work, she is usually on the run—whether training for a triathlon or breathlessly five minutes behind. She enjoys cups of tea, plenty of poetry and art, and deep conversations with fascinating people.

SECRETARY

Sonia Norton serves as the Senior Legislative Assistant for Representative Earl Blumenauer, where she manages a policy portfolio including drug policy reform, criminal justice and judiciary issues, international affairs, and defense.

Originally from Southern California, she received her Bachelor's in Politics with a minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Earlham College. Sonia previously served as a Fulbright-Nehru English Teaching Assistant in Tamil Nadu, India before starting her congressional career as the Legislative Correspondent & Staff Assistant for Representative Pramila Jayapal and then Legislative Aide & Correspondent for Representative Kai Kahele. This is Sonia's third term on the WCSA Board, having previously served as Professional Development Co-Chair and Secretary.

In her free time, she enjoys road trips, reading, and taking care of her houseplants.

MEMBER SERVICES DIRECTOR

Janey Green currently works as a Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Mary Miller. Her legislative portfolio includes the Congresswoman’s Agriculture Committee assignment along with trade, energy, and natural resources. Prior to joining Congresswoman Miller's office, she worked for Congressman John Rose for three years.

Janey has a degree in Food and Agriculture Business from the University of Tennessee and lived on their research farm for 2.5 years.

Along with her love of baking, reading, and playing tennis Janey enjoys trying to find the closest places to DC she can see cows.
