Co-Chairs: Emily Richardson & Anna Platt

Emily Richardson serves as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman David Price (NC-04), and covers a legislative portfolio that includes energy, environment, trade, and agriculture. She began her work on Capitol Hill as an Intern in Rep. Lloyd Doggett’s office before she was hired as a Staff Assistant (then Legislative Correspondent) for Congressman Joaquin Castro, where she worked for a year and a half. Emily hails originally from College Station, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Plan II Honors, Government, and Spanish. Before moving to Washington, she worked as a Field Organizer for the Wendy Davis for Governor Campaign and as the Reading Clerk at the Texas House of Representatives. In her free time, Emily can usually be found with her pup, Abby, at Lincoln Park or hiking through the wide array of beautiful public lands surrounding the DMV area.

Anna Platt serves as Legislative Director for Congressman Anthony G. Brown (MD-04) while also handing health care, immigration, workforce development/career and technical education, and labor issues.  She previously worked as Senior Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Niki Tsongas (MA-03) and as Legislative Aide for Senator Debbie Stabenow (MI).  Anna holds a Masters in Government with a concentration in Political Communications from Johns Hopkins University and received her Bachelors degree from Bucknell University, where she double-majored in Political Science and History.  Outside of work, she enjoys running, busting a move at Zumba classes, and attempting to cook Julia Child recipes (with varying degrees of success).
